Hi guys,
I was wondering what does ViciDial predictive dialer use internally to detect dead calls (calls that were already hung up, but the line is still open)?
I'm planning to start testing ViciDial predictive dialer in my call center and am a bit worried about the dead calls. Our Asterisk PBX is connected to a VoIP SIP telco, and it quite often happens that the SIP line is still active (we don't get the BYE SIP command from the provider), eventhough the client already hung up the phone (this is for the outbound calls). How does the ViciDial predictive dialer know which call was already terminated by the client and which one was not, in such cases?
Regards,
Alex

Thats an issue you have to discus with your provider.
And if its not helps, looking for another provider.
vicidial uses asterisk and if asterisk gets incorrect information.. it would not work that well

simpler solution:
Vicibox Demo CD!!
Boot from it and set up a trunk and see how it works. It is NOT valuable for production, but is PERFECT for a test like this.
