ast_openstream_full: File does not exist in any format prob

Postby wizzbangca » Thu Dec 31, 2009 7:12 pm

I installed the latest version of vicidialnow. I am attempting to setup a survey campaign with custom survey audio files. Any files I convert and place in /usr/src/astguiclient/sounds is not being picked up and played when listed in the campaign settings. Instead, I get the following:

-- Launched AGI Script /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin/agi-VDAD_ALL_outbound.agi
Dec 31 18:50:17 WARNING[15930]: file.c:517 ast_openstream_full: File loanmodification does not exist in any format

loanmodification, the file used for this test, is in wav, gsm, and sln. All three versions have the same file name except for the extension. I used the following commands to convert the original wave file to gsm and sln:

sox loanmodification.wav -t raw -r 8000 -s -w -c 1 loanmodification.sln
sox loanmodification.wav -r 8000 loanmodification.gsm resample -ql

The original wav file is mono. The two commands above worked just fine in the previous version of vicidialnow. I thought I put the files in the wrong location, so I gave testcamp a try and the test camp files play just fine from the same folder my files are in.

I made sure the wave file was 8000 mono, 16bit. Then just did a straight conversion: sox loanmodification.wav loanmodification.gsm. Still no go.

What is the "new" way to convert audio files since the old way (above) doesn't work? Or, where are they covnerted files supposed to go if the location above isn't supposed to be where the files are stored?

Solved: put the converted files in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds. Does anyone get a hint that I am still learning this stuff?
