Remote Agent login

Postby Janky » Thu Jan 14, 2010 1:28 am

I recently have installed the latest release (to my knowledge) of vicidial now. VERSION: 2.0.5-206 BUILD: 90525-1014

so far so good except for when i am attempting to use the server from out side my local network, at home for instance.

Server is currently being tested in house and all works with out issue when testing from local network although testing from home when logging into the vicidial agent screen there is no call made and at times that the call has been placed it drops shortly after.

I configured and allowed ports in the router etc. and have no issues using my other asterisk systems via the same softphone on other servers.

is there anything you guys may know of that i need to add or allow for the server to function properly specific ports etc???

i am also seeing no action in the CLI when attempting to login remotely. although if i run show channels it shows 1 active channel and yes my extension is registering it does show in sip show peers

any advice much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a firewall issue. Most one way or no audio issues are related to NAT/firewall settings.

check your firewall to allow RTP ports. unless RTP ports is blocked, you can dial, calls get connected but no sounds.
