From all indication, you are looking at making your call centre to be a contact centre which is no big challenge. One of the agregration points is a CRM application. I have deployed such a solution ( not yet in production) based on SugarCRM. With SugarCRM, you have all the functionalities via the module. There are two major strategies, one to let your Vicidial integrate with SugarCRM and also to let your SugarCRM do SMS. On the SugarCRM platform, you can have e-mails, chat and SMS to make your call centre a contact centre. SugarCRM presents good modules for asterisk connection which by extension means vicidial integration on telephony platform then the SMS modules do the job for SMS. For chatting, you can have some chat modules.
