Hello everyone,
I have an off the wall question. What are you guys averaging for hourly pay of your reps/agents? I'm particulary interested in operating/revenue expenses for contact centers in india. However i'd also be interested in hearing from other people around the world. We are looking to expand and open a call center off shores (out of the US) but I am weighing the costs involved. I would love to expand into a seperate market for the sheer diversity of it, however I feel it maybe cost prohibitive.
Thanks everyone, i'll be compiling data as i receive and will post back for all to review to see how their contact centers stack up. In these economic times its interesting to see just how everyone is saving money.

@Op3r: I think he's referring to the agent's salary. I've never heard of an 8-10 USD per hour for an agent. That amounts to 1,280 - 1,600 USD every month for an agent's salary.

Where is that call center that you own Op3r? Maybe I will be qualified in your call center when I apply there. I am good in communicating, and I train for this for how many years.

I dont think he meant to say that !!!1
May be he meant to say 8-10$ per hr rate per agent for hiring a call center, not agent.

@williamconley: Around $350 to $500 depending on location and size of apartment/condominium. Thinking of having a vacation here?

orlando $8-$10 is pretty normal (especially considering minimum wage) for telemarketers. i was thinking your cost of living must be substantially lower if you don't pay at least $8/hour (i mean, people have to support themselves on what they are being paid, right?)
orlando $600-$800 is normal for a 3 bdrm apartment. so i guess there is a difference in payment to account for the difference in cost of living.

uhm
The the 8-10 usd per hour is the all in pay out for call center seats. If you bothered to read what I posted its exactly what I have posted in per seat.
As for the agent salary the average is 12,000 pesos for entry level divide that to 45 pesos to 1 usd. The average salary really depends on what skill set the campaign requires. Some gives out commissions on their per sale performance plus their base salary.

I would be more than happy with $12/seat/hour in Romania.
And that includes vicidial, computers, rent, large space, salaries & a decent profit.
But 10 would do it. although I would have to take care with figures.
