Ideal configuration & accessories for 15 agents?

Postby techster » Wed Jul 07, 2010 1:57 am

:?:
I have a vici running on xeon server with few hiccups.

What should be ideal specs for 15 seats?

- 15 agents (EXCLUDING TL)
- 2:1 dialing (2 calls for every single agent - Ratio)
- Bandwidth 1mb (upload/download = 1/1)
- GSM codec or better

They require AMD & Fax tone detection to be as precise as possible; ready to try codecs as the bandwidth cost is a bit high in their area. Investment on hardware is not a problem till the time it pays off.
XEON 5000/Intel s5500BC,8GB RAM
Vicibox Server:
Ubuntu based
VERSION: 2.2.0-234 (2.2.0rc6)
BUILD: 100116-0718
DB Schema Version: 1193

test with the free educational version of g729 to see if it will work for you. but beware the CPU usage when you do it.

and watch your OTHER usage of internet (agent computers should not be used for ANYTHING other than the agent login screen).

No. You cannot use 192.168.0.188 on your local network outside your local network. You will need to learn how to use your Router/Firewall properly to allow outside access to your server.
