Error during vicibox install

Hi all
I install vicibox and it gives me this error
"Failure Area : Could not install Sangoma Wanpipe drivers."
When it tries to install my sangoma PRI card


I've download the iso yesterday. It's the current version

Please list the release number instead, to remove any doubt. (All of the earlier versions of the installation disk are still available to download, so it is possible you have downloaded any version from 1.0.0 to 3.0.4 ...)

So ...: Vicibox [Redux?] X.X.X .iso ...?

What instructions are you following for installation? (a link here is often helpful so we know where you are ...)

Have you read the "Stickies" for each of the forums, and the manager's manual? (these are required before posting so we don't have to tell you everything in them ... and they're free so ... )

Versions I have tried are vicibox redux iso's 3.0.3 and 3.0.4

I follow these instructions
ViciBox_Redux_v3-Install.pdf

The problem occurs at "vicibox-install" if i answer yes to install sangoma.
The OS recognize the cards right as

If you want an "out of the box, it just works" solution ... you could also try an earlier vicibox redux or you could try vicidialNOW (which i think is becoming gotoautodial) and is in a new phase, which apparently allows for sangoma installation as well.

Is the model number A200? I have no experience with an A200, but if that's not the model number you may want to list it.

Also, you could simply complete the installation WITHOUT the card and use the sangoma / asterisk instructions to install the card afterwards (sangoma is generally pretty good for installation help). Unless you didn't buy it retail recently, support should be available. (After you can make and receive calls in Asterisk, it will be usable as a VICIdial trunk group.)

It's looking like the Wanpipe code may not properly support kernel version 2.6.34 yet. The included wanpipe 3.5.14 doesn't seem to like it. Wanpipe 3.5.15 does compile but still complains about the kernel.

I'm sending in an email to Sangoma to ask them about it. Their changelog doesn't specifically state what their kernel compatibility is.

The weird part is that Dahdi compiles just fine and uses a lot of the same hardware hooks in the kernel that Wanpipe does.

probably just a conspiracy between digium and "the linux kernel people". nothing to worry about. LOL

Issue was corrected. I had to use drivers from Wanpipe 3.5.15 as well as a different compilation method to work with kernel 2.6.34.

You can download ViciBox v.3.0.5 or install Wanpipe 3.5.15 on your server. If you decide to install wanpipe itself you need to do the following:

1) Download wanpipe 3.5.15
2) cd to wanpipe 3.5.15 directory
3) make dahdi DAHDI_DIR=/usr/src/dahdi
4) make dahdi DAHDI_DIR=/usr/src/dahdi install

That should be it.
