i want to know the how to change call recording format in vicidial.
i m useing GSM format

but i want.. GSM to MP3 or WAV

plz tell me step by step.. tutorial

Sorry i didn't get to your post a few hours ago, but I watch for UNANSWERED posts. And you answered yourself (posting a second time looks like an "answer" to phpBB, so it won't show it to me).

Next time: edit your original post to add information instead. then it doesn't look like you were answered!

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method, vicidial version and build, asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

I don't have time for a tutorial, especially not one on 2.0.5 which is no longer supported, but i CAN tell you that what you seek is in the "/usr/share/astguiclient" folder and begins with "AST_CRON_audio..."

you can also check /etc/crontab for existing entries. read them with "nano" and you will find your answers.

Here is step-by-step for VERSION: 2.2.1-237:

crontab -e
find the line that calls /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_CRON_audio_2_compress.pl --GSM

change the parameter to --MP3.

by entering the above line from silentukr at the command line. However, if you are not aware of this .. it may be best to pay someone else to do it ... find a kid in college who is familiar with linux. Much less likely he would break your box ... crontab -e CAN accidentally break your box ...
