ringing error

Postby Dion » Sun Nov 19, 2006 7:27 pm

Hi

I get this in asterisk -r

laying 'invalid' (language 'en')
Nov 20 12:22:35 WARNING[11639]: file.c:1039 ast_waitstream: Unexpected control subclass '-1'

I cant dial from the vicidial. I can log in and can hear that I am the only one in the conference. But cant get calls. Maybe vicidial can't dial the leads. I hear the message in my phone that "sorry its not valid extension try again".

What can be the problem?

Thanks

I have found the solutions and it was the context that was placed at wrong place. I can dial but have to login again after each call. When we receive our 1st call its fine but in the second call cant hear anything. So thats why we have to login again everytime.

we are using Firefly softphone.

thanks

This IDEFISK phone is fantastic.
It solves my problem.
Had lots of Firefly phone problems before and will never recommend anybody to use that.

We will go live today on outbound calling with Vicidial since its works. one last thing if we record calls how can one access from windows Pc or how to hear whats recorded?

Cheers Matt (I thank you for creating Vicidial for call centers. You are great!!)

There is bit of problems when talking to customers. Agent can hear them properly but they cant hear the agents properly. I think My server is not loaded. Its 1GB RAM P4 3.1Gz and Mysql server with 512 RAM. Only 7 agents logged in.

Is it something to do with softphones?

we have 1mg link here using IAX (GSM).

Quality is nt there

What can be done

Hi matt

Few calls only with dial level 2. I think the softphones got problems. We use Logitech 350 USB headset that has soundcard itself. I have 2 servers ;
1=> installed Asterisk and web
2=> MySQL

I am thinking to put web server also in Mysql PC so that the load in server 1 can be balanced. In my erver report i can see the blue strokes up a lot. I cant really understand the load balancing doc that much. At present we use the IP address of server 1.
Where shall I start?

Also Is there a good IAX softphone and how to access the recording forlder from windows PC?

last thing I was thinking to use Xlite softphone as it is great. I was thinking that the dialer will dial from IAX and when connected passed call to SIP agent phones. Will this gonna work? Or instead of using IAX will the call be better with SIP. IF I have a 1mg link and which one wil have more quality SIP or IAX with 20 agents both using gsm specially using Vicidial

thanks

how about doing this,

from agent --> server use alaw, and server to your provider use g729 ?
it might work.

also check your bandwitdh utilization while you are at it.

For an IAX softphone you can try IDEFisk

You can use your DB server for web server as well, this will help reduce load on Asterisk/VICIDIAL server.

thanks a lot for that.

I am thinking to have 3 servers in mind.

1=> asterisk
2=> apache/vicidial/astguiclient
3=> MySQL

in Mysql server, subphase 6.3 no 2 do I have to put the Ip address of server 2 in vicidial_conferences?

thanks

Yes, you will use the ipaddress of your asterisk/VICIDIAL server for all of those server_ip fields including vicidial_conferences, conferences, servers, server_updater tables.

I would suggest a mysql forum or mailing list since I've never seen that error before installing MySQL.

I have fixed my earlier problem of clock

it was set to old time and thus needed to have current time.

I cant find this :
"modify the index.html line and add index.php to the list"

when doing apache installation

I think becos of this I get this message
root@webserver:~# /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start
Syntax error on line 4 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/libexec/libphp4.so into server: /usr/local/apache2/libexec/libphp4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

LINE 4 IS THIS:
LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.so

I am lost.

Thanks

Do you have php4 installed? You might want to try using apt-get so it would be easier for you, or even Yum
