after the upgrade my agent interface changed! i had renamed the agc.new folder to agc bevor the upgrade but now vicidial use the 2.4 agent interface. where i have to copie the new interface folder ?

hey, leave gardo alone, it took us a long time to get him to bring it up to 2.2.1 for free! if you mess with him it may never get to 2.4!

you didnt think he had to inform someone that his new interface didnt run if someone will update for ne new features ?? iam sure hes the first how knows if its run or not so i thought if it isnt possible he would tell it in one of all topics...

i would not be thankless but its a hard work for us to make vicidial work without problems and everytime there is an upgrade something is going wrong to someone.... so i think allot of time about it if i upgrade or not!

but its ok i change back to the old interface with 2.4.

but i have to say that hes interface is very very nice....

so pay him to bring it to 2.4! then maybe it will get into the "trunk" and be PART of VICIdial. that would make everyone happy (even if it's just an alternate interface).

I see your point, though. But you just asked him if it would work to upgrade, you didn't ask about anything else ... just "will it work". So he didn't have time that day to "elaborate", I guess.

GoAutoDial CE 2.0 comes with Vicidial 2.2.1. Obviously the new interface is meant for that version and not for anything else.

A lot of work has already been given to make Vicidial easier to install (GoAutoDial and Vicibox). Everyone needs to do their homework and hopefully contribute back to the community. You should have checked first if the "new interface" can work with 2.4 SVN. Do your part and don't blame us for your systems failures.

On a lighter side, we've started porting the new interface to 2.4 SVN. Hopefully when stable version is out we won't be far behind.

To be fair, he DID ask you if he could use it and HE had no way of knowing that there were "pieces" that don't cross from GoAutoDial to VICIdial's latest version unless you tell him.

In the US we are "responsible for knowing all the Federal and State laws and all the County and City ordinances ..." But who can read all that? most of us just try to use common sense. But how is the average user going to "just know" that the INTERFACE will not work from one distro of VICIdial to the next without scraping through every forum? (It's not like they could stop when they get to the interface, because what ELSE is not compatible? they would have to KNOW that was the only thing ... and noobs are ANYTHING but psychic, seriously ...).

So to be fair, it may have been nice to mention to him when he asked if he could use 2.4 to say "Yes, but you'll have to give up the Cool agent interface ....". And a statement on your site clearly indicating that if they go with YOUR distro, they get your carrier link, the cool interface AND CentOS (the only Redhat related distro of VICIdial on an .iso).

I mean, those are the selling points, right?
