Postby striker » Sun Oct 31, 2010 5:54 am

HI
vicibox redux i686-3.0 | VERSION: 2.4-284 | BUILD: 101008-0349 | no digium cards | no extrasoftware | no vtiger |

I am keep on getting this on my agent broser "no one in you session "
and also some time time sync problem.

as per my google search i noted that dahdi_dummy should installed .
but when do "dahdi show status " in cli i am not seeing that dahdi_dummy is loaded.

even i did modprobe dahdi_dummy but its not showing in cli.
can any one guide me load dahdi_dummy , no one in ur session and time sync problem in vicibox redux .

in vicibox ubuntu version zaptel dummy is clearly showing installed.

thank you for posting all your specs! kudos!

please describe the problem in a little more detail: "no one is in your session" ... does this happen on some calls, a call or two a day, every call immediately which means you can't even use the system, or did it only happen twice last year and you're just now mentioning it to us as a quick note in passing?

I am going to "assume" that it happens a lot when your system is fairly well loaded and not too often otherwise.

I am not going to assume that your agents are successfully logging in and hearing "you are the only person in this conference" upon answering their phones.

So the question: are your agents on the same physical network as your dialer? are your agents phones successfully registering to asterisk? are your agents phones ringing when they check in? do they hear "you are the only person in this conference"?

PS: Ordinarily this problem is the result of a bad network connection to the server from the agents (not enough bandwidth, someone with peer-to-peer software using all the bandwidth, 8 agents watching YouTube, that sort of thing). But often it turns out to just be "not completely set up yet). So You'll Let Me Know where we are. :)

And again: thanks for posting your specs! I love that. :)

oops: is this a multiserver installation?

hi
agents and dialer are in same network
phones registers properly
once login as agent they are getting a incomming call and getting the voice you are the only person in this conference.

they are getting no one in your session after few calls some times after each call

system load is not that much top shows only .01,.05

what about the time sync problem and dahdi_dummy

FYI its single server.

In the new version of DAHDI, like what ViciBox v.3.0 uses, Digium decided to deprecate dahdi_dummy and include it in the core dahdi module. It's primary function is to act as the fail-over/backup timing source when dahdi loads and no other suitable timing source is present.

The result is that you no longer see dahdi_dummy running as a loadable linux modules, or from "dahdi show status". However, if you run dahdi_test, you will notice that you do have a timing source.

The "No one is in your session" is caused by your SIP/IAX Phone hanging up the call. The "Time Sync" issue is caused by either network, overloaded server, or funky workstation (virus-scanner, pop-ups, etc).

no one in session

thanks Kumba

for pointing the dahdi_dummy problem
i have seen 99.988% while dahdi_test , so i confirm myself that timing source is there.

i have solved the time sync by putting the vicibox server ip in the workstation computers as internet time server."THANKS TO THE POUND TEAM FOR THIS TIME SYNC MENTIONED IN VICIDIAL CLUSTER DOCUMENT"

For the no one in session , i pointed that the softphone gets disconnected after sometime. after long time i noted that the automatic update pop in that softphone created this problem.

thanks once again kumba and vicidial groups.
