I changed the default admin password in the gui..
When it popped back up, it asked me for new credentials, just like its supposed to do.....
Now it wont take my new password. I know what youre thinking... he forgot his password... NO I DIDNT.
I went in through phpmyadmin when i was at the office, changed the password back, restarted the mysqld service... bam, worked fine when i set it back to the default. Well, now Im at home and for whatever reason I decided to try changing the password again and same result only this time I cant access phpmyadmin, says I dont have permission. I have the ports forwarded... I see no reason why it:
a) would not take my new password or the old one.
b) I cant get into phpmyadmin from WAN..
Any ideas ??

Better , How about if we have a Link to Change Password and Forgot Password ?
I PRESUME this is the basic level functionality for any Authentication based software ?
GoAutoDial CE
VERSION: 2.4-309a
BUILD: 110430-1642
No other software installed on the box.
I've read the manager manual.

shell into the machine and change the password from the mysql cli?
It's because the user doesn't have access from % it's probably localhost or the password was changed on only one copy of the account as it created a separate account in phpmyadmin

Did that, now I can get into mysql just fine, but I still cannot access phpmyadmin.

For future reference. I have experienced this quite often when using Firefox. It persists on submitting the older password in phpMyAdmin. You can verify this by using another web browser to login. If this works, clear your Firefox cached passwords.
