AST_SERVER_conf.pl is no longer used as of release 2.0.1
dbconnect.php is in the web folders agc, vicidial and astguiclient
in 2.0.1 you don't need to configure dbconnect.php if you have /etc/astguiclient.conf set up properly through the install.pl script.

DB address is the IP of your database server.

Thank you very much. Now I understand whats happening.
I think I am done with installation with 3 servers.
1=> MySQL
2=>Apache/php
3=>Asterisk
I can get calls but call quality bit of problem. I use 1mbps link and using gsm. and using IDEFISK. 20 seats. Whats the good codec to use. I tried speex but it cant dial from vicidial. tried dialing from IDEFISK it works. Apart from G729 what other good codecs will be good since you guys are petty much experience. Is GSM right?
Do you think gsm will be appropriate for 20 concurrent calls with 1mg link?
Thanks

First off i would not use speex secondly gsm is OK but if possible use g729 as its provides better compression..
Whats your upstream bandwidth?
