ViciBox Server 64 Hangs at Firewall Initialization Phase 2

Hi all,

Installed Vicibox Redux 3.0.9 64. Followed the walkthrough. After zypper refresh and then zypper up, I reboot. It hangs, I powercycle, it boots and then hangs at Firewall initialization phase 2 of 2.

I'm a bit of a linux noob, so I'm kind of stuck.

try skipping zypper refresh and zypper up entirely. just os-install.

also: (in case this changes nothing) are you sure you have internet with dhcp available hooked up to the server?

You shouldn't have been using zypper prior to os-install. That should have been something you done after os-install and a reboot.

Don't get me wrong, OpenSuSE is marvelous and the Vicibox Redux is, too. But the OpenSuSE operating system on the CD seems to be the best bet ... 10% of the time the updates (OS zypper or simple repository) have blockades that lock it up. Skipping them (or changing repositories) has been necessary several times.
