Hi Circuit,

Could you give the exact procedure and commands how to move the scripts in another time schedule. I'm totally newbie in CLI commands. Especially in the cron part.

Thank very much,

Anticipating your kind reply,

Hi Circuit,

I already configured my crontab by:

1. SSH to my server
2. Type "crontab -e"
3. Changed the scripts:

From:

### adjust the GMT offset for the leads in the vicidial_list table
1 1 * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_adjust_GMTnow_on_leads.pl --debug

### reset several temporary-info tables in the database
2 1 * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_reset_mysql_vars.pl

### optimize the database tables within the asterisk database
3 1 * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_DB_optimize.pl

### Logs cleanup for GoAutoDial
8 1 * * * /usr/share/goautodial/go_clean.pl

To

### adjust the GMT offset for the leads in the vicidial_list table
1 10 * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_adjust_GMTnow_on_leads.pl --debug

### reset several temporary-info tables in the database
2 10 * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_reset_mysql_vars.pl

### optimize the database tables within the asterisk database
3 10 * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_DB_optimize.pl

### Logs cleanup for GoAutoDial
8 10 * * * /usr/share/goautodial/go_clean.pl

Because downtime is 10am.

4. Saving crontab by pressing [ESC] then type ":wq"
5. Reboot the system

Finally, we are not experiencing the annoying "Session has been disabled". Just right now we are in good status calls.

Thanks,

Enavaro

i would not expect it to have ANY adverse effect to reschedule (in fact it is likely you could skip a day and get away with it).

for those with NO downtime, it would be possible to create a "Break!" button to activate it when all agents are on a break for a few moments.

Alternately, I suppose, if agents were NEVER logged out at the same time ... it could be a bit hairy :)

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method (7.X.X?) and vicidial version with build (VERSION: 2.X-XXXx ... BUILD: #####-####).

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "manual/from scratch" you must post your operating system with version (and the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system) plus a link to the installation instructions you used. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600

3) Yes there will be adverse effects. Each of the scripts accomplishes a task. While you can often get away with not running those scripts for a day or two, eventually your system will have issues as a result. For instance: When Daylight Savings Time starts, your system will be calling client but not know the correct time where they are (off by an hour). Each of the other scripts has a purpose, too. Best to adjust them to run when they do not interfere with anything else, but do run them.
