If your agents are not using Vicidial to make calls, Vicidial cannot record their calls.
But since your agents are using ASTERISK to make calls, you can create a dialplan that monitors these calls. Remember, though, that these recordings may be difficult to manage, as there will be no links in Vicidial to get to them.
I don't have time to show you an asterisk recording dialplan right now, but someone else may and there is A LOT of help on this topic if you use that cool google search engine. The function is Monitor (when asterisk monitors a call, it stores a recording file). But naming the file and locating it in a place where you can find it and listen to it ...
I highly recommend that you modify your dial plan to disable manual calls outside Vicidial. Require the agents to use a manual dial campaign within vicidial. Then your recordings will be automated and linked to leads in vicidial for easy perusal and you will also CAPTURE each number dialed as a lead and can have the agents put in detailed information regarding each lead. they can also then be re-dialed automatically based on disposition!
