I have a number of issues

Postby ckwall » Fri Dec 08, 2006 11:05 am

I have done everything in the scratch install file. 3 times making sure i did not miss something. I must be just miss understanding something or doing what I read wrong.

Issue number 1: I cannot hear anything when i dial into asterisk. Playback, meetme... nothing. it all works fine, i just cannot hear it.

Second issue. When i log in, it does not even attempt to dial my softphone

Third issue, I am getting the Noone is in your session: 8600051 error.

Please point me in the correct direction for troubleshooting. I have been at this for 11 straight hours.

Now lets go by this per issue

1 and 2 ) what does your asterisk CLI say?
whats the version of VICIDIAL and Asterisk are you using?

3) because your phone is not logged in.

could be lots of things..

1 - try use the softphone to make a normal call.. to see if asterisk is working..

2 - if sip phone, make sure it is in your sip.conf

3 - make sure the phone has the right ip assigned to it in the phone setup in vicidial admin

4 - make sure the conf has the right ip assigned to it in the vicidial admin

5 - make sure your extensions.conf and meetme.conf have those extensions

that should get you started....

Sofphone makes the call like it should. CLI shows the calls working correctly. But, I cannot here the call. I can hear the call from other asterisk servers when i connect to them, just not this one.

The softphone is in the sip.conf. I can dial other extensions from this one, and this one from others.

I will check the ip addresses

and the extensions.conf had the correct extensions. I can dial them and watch the calls progress accordingly.

The ip addresses are set correctly. When I click on the login from the /agc/vicidial.php absolutely nothing happens in the CLI> I see the manager sessions logging in and out, but nothing ever happens to dial my agent logging in.

No sound is resolved. The box i am using has a T1 card in it and I had no intention of using it with a T1, so it was not configured. Apparently that causes that issue.

can you paste some CLI output of you calling an extensions with the softphone, and then trying to login with agc and note when you did each in the paste...

so really the only issue i have here is that when trying to log my user in from the agc/vicidial.php it makes no attempt as far as i can see to log in. There is no output on the CLI whatsoever.

Interesting... there is no output.

[root@localhost ~]# screen -r
There is no screen to be resumed.

What did I do wrong?

I have corrected these issue. The remaining issue was a file permission issue on the .pl scripts used by the crontab -e
