Voice Mail Recordings Filename

Hi Guys,

Specially williamconley who has a lot of patience on us (^_^) ...

Is there a way to make the filename of the voice mail recordings like FULLDATE_PHONE?

Campaign Rec Filename - This field allows you to customize the name of the recording when Campaign recording is ONDEMAND or ALLCALLS. The allowed variables are CAMPAIGN CUSTPHONE FULLDATE TINYDATE EPOCH AGENT VENDORLEADCODE LEADID. The default is FULLDATE_AGENT and would look like this 20051020-103108_6666. Another example is CAMPAIGN_TINYDATE_CUSTPHONE which would look like this TESTCAMP_51020103108_3125551212. 50 char max.

Tnx williamconley, but i noticed that if i direct my inbound to voicemail and checkout the recording filename eventhough i specified the recording override in the INGROUPS, the sequence of the recording is something like msg0000.gsm, msg0001.gsm.

! Voicemail is NOT part of Vicidial. That package is part of ASTERISK. The messages are created the way they are for special reasons, but if you check it out, you will find that the information you seek is in a TEXT file in the same folder with the same name (except, of course, it ends in .txt)

you may also benefit from the script that will "email" your VM to you ... you COULD have it ship it to a different place with a different name instead of emailing it.

So williamconley, just to confirm, there's really no way for me to format my Voice Mail Recording File Name like PHONE_FULLDATE?

not within vicidial, since voicemail is a package that is part of asterisk. you'd have to find the people who built the VM system for asterisk and get on THEIR forum.

OR, you can attempt my investigative methods above. scripts are already firing all over the place, finding or making one to modify those files AFTER they are made to be whatever and wherever you want ... is how the audio files IN vicidial are manipulated already. but since the VM files aren't part of that ...
