Problem with 3 way call in 2.4

Postby dpsh » Mon Feb 21, 2011 1:29 pm

Hello,

I have done a scratch install of vicidial

OS:- slackware 13
VERSION: 2.4

I am facing problem while doing a Transfer-conf. The steps I follow is

1. Dial a number
2. after call is answered press 'Transfer-conf' button
3. Enter 3rd party number in 'Number to call' and then press 'Dial with customer'.
4. If the 3rd party answers 'Leave 3 way call'

Everything works fine if the 3 rd party answers the call. But if the 3rd party is busy, or a dial timeout happens then I am unable to hangup the xfer line and dial another number. Both the buttons 'Hangup Xfer line' and 'Dial with customer' is disabled, and the only option left now is to 'Hangup both lines'.

The same steps were working well in version 2.2

Can someone please help.

Thanks
dpsh

is the OS identical to the 2.2 version's OS? find your package differences. map it out. something is obviously different.

OR install Vicibox Redux! 8)

OR troubleshoot (agi logs in /var/log/astguiclient)

You'll have to compare the agi output (in /var/log/astguiclient, may require turning logging ON in various places!) on the two systems to see where they "part ways".

I have checked the output of FASTagiout log in both version. I did not notice any difference in the outputs.

I also tried by copying the php file agc/vicidial.php from 2.2 into 2.4 and the Transfer-conf worked as expected.

Can this be a problem of php ?

"diff" the two files and revert changes one at a time until you break the transfer/conf function ... and report WHICH change causes the break.

For the past 2 days I have been doing a diff and making changes to vicidial.php, without any luck.

I am planning to switch back to version 2.2

Since the problem seems to be with vicidial.php can I just use the vicidial.php from Vicibox Redux.

Vicibox Redux seems to be using VERSION: 2.4-295 Build 110103-1135. Is it possible to get this version of vicidial through svn (it would be really helpful if someone could give me the svn command).

I am using VERSION: 2.4-297 BUILD: 110124-1134

When I used the agc/vicidial.php from 2.2 everything was working fine. Can I use this in production also? Please recommend

Are you asking for permission? 8)

If it works and you're not in a VMWare ... check your reports to be sure ALL the data is getting to where it belongs, and your lists to be sure statuses are being recorded after disposition.

I had solved this problem by using 3way dial prefix of "88" which will loopback and answer the call locally and I can hear the ringing.

This post helped me
