Since the original patch was aimed at making the desktop (I.E. Mouse/Keyboard/Monitor) more responsive under high-load, I am going to say this alternative patch does not garner much support in a server-load scenario.

Plus, I prefer to leave the kernel alone as the PAE one seems pretty stable to me.
