click-to-call best practice

Postby snblitz » Thu May 05, 2011 7:35 pm

VERSION: 2.4-285
BUILD: 101022-1427
ASTERISK: 1.4.27.1

4 Agent machines
2 DB servers
2 recording stores
150 seats

We have a CRM application that we use along side vicidial.

It displays phone numbers and has URLs like:

16505551212

Is there a best practice way of routing such a click-to-call into
vicidial?

Currently, we do pass them into a list that heads straight to the agent,
but takes 5 to 20 seconds to flow through the system.

I assume there is a better way.

Anyone have some pointers or ideas?

How do you "pass them into a list"?

Are you using the Command Line Lead Loader?

Are you using the Non-Agent-API? (Recommended)

Read the non-agent-api documentation in the /usr/share/astguiclient/[version]/docs folder

We either write them to a list via the CLI lead loader or write them to the
database ourselves.

I will look at the non-agent-api documentation as you suggest.

Thanks for the pointer.
