what does this have to do with vicidial? what are you asking exactly?

if you are asking whether you should put vicidial on this server, the answer is NO. It's already got two incompatible pieces of software on it and the memory is already used up. get another server.

then if you want to know whether this model, etc, is good, we need to know the number of agents, the number of channels, the dial ratio, whether all calls will be recorded, the bandwidth and codec in use ...

Well.we are a voip reseller.some of our customers are small call centers with 10 to 15 agents. using dialers like vicidial and others are only home users (using only softphhones).we are not recordong call in that dedicated server. but our custumers do with their dialer.

we are not thinking of puting vicidial in this server.

It'sa dedicated server running elastix and a2billing for billing, this server is connected to a sip-providers .

what is the minimum ram to be added.

just to be more clear :it's a server located in FRANCE and all our customers are in MOROCCO.

Codec used g729
1000 Mbps

It's already got two incompatible pieces of software on it

please explain what are the incompatible pieces of software on it.

thank you so much for your help

So the link to Vicidial is that your customers will be using vicidial? And this server is merely supplying phone calls to it? (but vicidial will not be installed in it?)

It's already got two incompatible pieces of software on it

correct, i mean those two packages are not compatible with vicidial. although vicidial could be installed in a server with either or both of those packages, it would be time-consuming and the dismal downside would be that any upgrades to vicidial would require re-integration (and vicidial is a very fluid package these days, matt puts new features in quite regularly). so keeping vicidial OFF that box would be a smart move.

as for an opinion of that box without vicidial on it, i'd have to ask if you have pushed it over 400 channels yet.
