Is there closedsource dialer companies, that have moved toward vicidial?

Yes there are. Some rather large ones too. We know of closed-source companies that have actually done installs of ViciDial where their own product would not meet the needs of their client. We also have been contacted by closed source call center companies about moving their architecture to Vicidial because it is so much less-expensive and flexible compared to the architecture that their closed-source solution.

It must be quit difficult to move an architecture to vicidial?

I dont know but have you seen the source-code on a closedsource dialer, does it look better than vicidials code ?

The companies that I know of that have changed have made heavy use of the APIs, or programmed directly to the database, which is much easier than interacting with or altering the source code, and you really can do a lot working only with the database and APIs.

Most proprietary dialer code is compiled and the source code is very closely guarded. I have glanced at a few of the smaller closed-source dialers code though, in various languages, never enough time to study them or get a good hold on how they worked, they were all pretty old but seemed fairly well structured.
