Hi

what distrubution are you using ?

is the php installed in your box ?

you check if you are using FC or REDHAT
by giving

rpm -qa | grep php and post them here.

or

you can check the errors while accessing the site,

http://x.x.x.x/agc/xxx.php file

/var/log/httpd/error.log and post them here

Also, make sure that apache is able to read PHP files.

If you have AddModule in your conf file

your apatche is not running php properly
make a file with this code

<?php

phpinfo();
?>

name it test.php and put into your web root folder
if yr php is ok, php info page will be printed otherwise or if code is displayed yr php is not working
then

hv yu made changes in your httpd.conf file as mentioned n scratch install
i presume you are using the apatche installed with fc destro
and yr webroot is /var/www/html/
download and install it according to scratch install
and then test the test.php

I think you do not have PHP installed in Apache

try to see if php-httpd or httpd-php (forgot how it should go) is installed...

if not install it or you can do it manually, just google it

This prblem can be solved by installing flex rpm in your system.You probably find it in fc5 disk2.You can google the error and able to find the package installed like the line

configure: error: cannot find output from lex; giving up

put it in google and you will see planty of suggestions.
that is how you can solve the problems while installing diffrent software packages in fedora.

thanks
