I just complete the scratch install on a new dialer system

i am using Asterisk Version 1.2.14
LibPRI and Zaptel Same Versions
AstGuiClient 2.0.2

IDE Fisk IAX Softphones

I can connect the softphones to each other and make calls out to digium demo server. When I log in to vicidial it won't call the phone.

I have the extensions set up in extensions.conf, and the conference in both database tables and in the meetme.conf file.

I also have the softphone set up in iax.conf

the output from screen -r is
350.asterisk (detached)
399.ASTVDadapt (detached)
403.ASTfastlog (detached)

Have no idea what could be wrong... any help is much appreciated.

Also one other thing as soon as I edited the crontab -e from the scratch install document I keep getting mail delivery errors about every few seconds saying connection refused at /usr/src/astguiclient/AST_vm_update.pl on line 188

have you configure the manager.conf? you should have 7 output in your screen -r., like this:

.asterisk (Detached)
.ASTVDadapt (Detached)
.ASTVDauto (Detached)
.ASTupdate (Detached)
.ASTsend (Detached)
.ASTVDremote (Detached)
.ASTlisten (Detached)

Please try to review again the scratch installation, i think you missed something.

I followed the setup to the t... actually found a couple of small errors in it as well.... I did donfigure the manager.conf file to include everything in the script.

I have done the install about 3 times now with no luck... I am using a sangoma A102 Card
Wanrouter setup and config is fine... zaptel seems to be fine... I can make and place phone calls from asterisk so I would assume that means that somewhere in the astguiclient install something went wrong....

But my manager.conf file was copied from a machine that is currently running vicidial, and I made sure it was exactly the same as the one from the document.

One time when I ran screen -r I had all the screens but like 3 of them were dead... does that help?

I really don't like to bring business matters into the forums like this, but seeing as Industrial Wholesale Supply(iwsinc) was a client of mine until they would not pay me for my work, and it has now been over 5 months since I invoiced your company, and now you will not return my emails or phone calls, I will be banning your account from this forum.

I know that you could easily just get an anonymous email account and continue posting for free help, but I want to make a point that asking someone to help you install and configure VICIDIAL(and write a customized script) and then not pay them is just wrong.

If I get paid, then all is forgiven, but don't expect help from me in the future.

Hi all, shame about that wsinc guy, but it seems that I have a similar problem.

I also perceive that "Noone is in your session" message, but I think that I know why, but I don't know how to fix it.

I think my problem is this

How do I set the screen to load all the modules it should be?

I'm completely new about vicidial but I've use asterisk since almost a year

I install the screen program, the patch for asterisk and then in /etc/crontab insert the astguiclients script, but still can't get it work.

I believe some of us was ripped off by consultants and by customers. Ill just going to create a section to tell others about it.
