Can only call internal extensions, no external dialling

Postby geoffers1 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 8:07 am

I've installed GoAutoDial with the requirement for outbound calling. Campaign has been created, leads loaded into a list, and leads in the hopper.

Zoiper is on the client PC's and this is registered with the server fine, I'm using Node4 SIPUA account and this carrier is active.

However, when I try and dial out I always get extension is not recognised. Calling another extension (8002) works fine and puts me through to their voicemail if no answer.

However, I can't dial out. I can configure my Zoiper client with the Node4 details and this dials out without a problem.

Any pointers please? It's driving me nuts (and the much referenced quick start guide has been read)

Thanks.

Dialling from the softphone gives me this if I call my mobile:

[Feb 23 13:40:35] NOTICE[3683] chan_sip.c: Call from '8001' to extension '07989******' rejected because extension not found.

If I configure mt softphone with the SIPUA username and password I can dial fine direct from the softphone.

On the smartphone when it's registered directly with the SIPUA details I just dial the number.

Through goautodial client I'm based in the UK and dial only to the UK, so am assuming that I still only need to dial just the number.

Can I just rewind a bit to see if I'm still on the right track. GoAutoDial server is latest version CE 2.1. Server is up and running. Zoiper client is registered against the server. Client agent login calls the Zoiper client and says I'm only person in conference. Dial lead from a campaign tells me that I have dialled invalid extension. I can dial internal extensions and that is fine. Just can't dial out.

I figure it has to do with the dial plan, but how do I sort it out?

Cheers for all your help so far.

you are still on the right track. calling to other extensions and able to hear them are telling u that u are on the right track.

ur problem lies on the dial plan to which I asked earlier what is ur dial plan. using direct connection with SIPUA yes no problem (if yes, contact ur provider) but now when u registered it on ur server u have now a different dial pattern on which u added the "9" on it from here (exten => _944.,1 )

in conclusion if are opt to use the softphone use 9 + 44 (country code) + number

when u upload leads did u change the "phone code override" ? if not, change it to 44 - UK. as the default there is country of 1

let me know

If I register my softphone with the SIP account I can dial no problems using just the number (no 9 or 44 country code). When I register with my Asterix server and dial the softphone manually I just get a pop up on the Zoiper softphone saying no route to destination. If I manually dial from the GoAutoDial client it says extension not found.

whe I uploaded the leads I changed it to 44 from 1 in the phone code.

From the GoAutoDial client I've tried manually dialling with the following: 07989******, 907989******, 9447989******, 447989******

Here's a screenshot of my carrier setup:

change the dial plan entry

to this

exten => _944XXXXXXXXXX,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944XXXXXXXXXX,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@08454133296,,tTo)
exten => _944XXXXXXXXXX,3,Hangup

Hi. I've changed the dial plan, rebooted the server (just in case) and logged in again. Every number that dials I hear "sorry thats not a valid extension"

If I quit the agent login, leave the softphone registered and dial from that I get a message "no route to destination".

Here's the asterix CLI (chan_sip.c peer 8001 is now reachable - my phone login, chan_sip.c 08454133296 is now reachable - my sip phone number) but later on it says "chan_sip.c: Call from '8001' to extension '0000000000' rejected because extension not found." even though I am dialling a phone number.

What's the phone number you're calling? 441159297384?

Yes, the country code is 44 (and I'm in the UK) and the number is 1159297384. In the leads I imported I left off the leading 0. However, with or without the leading 0, with or without the country code, the system only dials as internal extensions, does not seem to dial out over the SIP link.

You need to modify your dialplan to accommodate UK numbers.

exten => _944.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944.,2,Dial(${TRUNKX}/${EXTEN:1},,tTo)
exten => _944.,3,Hangup

Where TRUNKX is your SIP carrier entry and 9 is your campaign dial prefix.

Thanks Gardo,

This seems to have got over the issue of it dialling internat extensions, but now I'm getting an error:Call Rejected: CHANUNAVAIL Cause: 66 - Channel type not implemented

Any pointers as to what this is?

My dial plan entry is now this:

exten => _X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _X.,2,Dial(${Node4:}/${EXTEN:1},,tTo)
exten => _X.,3,Hangup

My campaign is setup with a dial prefix of X and a manual dial prefix of X (I don't need to dial 9 to get an outside line) and Omit Phone Code is set to Y so I'm effectively ignoring the country code.

Cheers!

Using a catch all dialplan without any prefix is highly discouraged. This can cause serious issues on your system. At the least use the following:

exten => _9X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _9X.,2,Dial(${TRUNKX}/${EXTEN:1},,tTo)
exten => _9X.,3,Hangup

If your campaign dial prefix is X you can use the following:

exten => _44.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _44.,2,Dial(${TRUNKX}/${EXTEN},,tTo)
exten => _44.,3,Hangup

You also need to dial with the country code included. If you omit the country code the system will only dial 1159297384 instead of 441159297384.

However, when I dial now the client times out after 15-20 seconds with a Congestion error, but the Asterix CLI fills up with this same line:

[Feb 29 10:12:06] WARNING[12016] app_meetme.c: Unable to write frame to channel Local/8600051@default-5d8b,2

So at the moment I'm still not dialling out.

Any more help will be great please.

try changing your dial plan to this since it is name Node4 in account entry

and try putting 9 since this is highly recommended

Dialplan Entry:
exten => _944.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944.,2,Dial(${Node4}/${EXTEN:1},,tTo)
exten => _944.,3,Hangup

or

exten => _944,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944,3,Hangup

you can also try removing global string

also show the output of sip show peers in cli

let me know

have your server be rebooted then try again sip show peers.

SIP channel is now connected ok when using SIP SHOW PEERS.

Dialling now gives:

Call Rejected: CONGESTION
Cause: 0 - Unspecified. No other cause codes applicable

Asterix logs now show:

[Feb 29 16:22:29] WARNING[17550] app_meetme.c: Unable to write frame to channel Local/8600051@default-8f10,2

Manually dialling a number gices the same errors.

Okay, now I'm back to "we're sorry that's not a valid extension"

Just to recap, I don't need to dial 9 to get an outside line, I don't need to dial a country code (i'm in the UK dialling UK numbers). If I register my Zoiper client to the Asterix box I get an error "no route to destination" If I register my Zoiper client directly to my SIP provider I can dial numbers just fine.

My dial plan is:

exten => _944,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944,3,Hangup

In my campaign the dial prefix is 9 and omit phone code is N. The phone codes are imported as leads into the list.

Tried dialling from the Zoiper client as suggested but Zoiper client says "No route to destination" and here is the Asterix CLI:

dialplan pattern

Postby striker » Thu Mar 01, 2012 5:03 am

your dialplan is wrong
exten => _944,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944,3,Hangup

the above dialplan will only dial the three digit number 944

use the below dialplan

exten => _944X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944X.,3,Hangup

in the above dialplan the X says any digit from 0 to 9
and after X you can see a DOT (.) this is any length after 944X

if the numbers which you are dialling is 10 digit and starting with 44 then u can also use the below
exten => _944XXXXXXXX,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944XXXXXXXX,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944XXXXXXXX,3,Hangup

so this dialplan will only dial 11 digit number and discards prefix 9 while dialling out

Okay, dial plan is now:

exten => _944X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944X.,3,Hangup

Asterix CLI give this when dialling 94407989327*** from Zoiper:

Blank look on my face :shock:

This is an "out of the box" install, so the answer is no. The only extra I've done is to patch the client to fix the dialling issues after hanging up.

I have seen a link on here somewhere about installing codecs so I'll look into it and get back to you.

Thanks for everyones help so far.

hmmm at least cli shows that u are getting now somewhere..

congested means that u are dialing with a wrong pattern

what is the number that u are trying to call?

exten => _944X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944X.,3,Hangup

does X in the dialplan are compose of 10 x?

dial plan X means it will wait for 10 digits u will be supplying.

is this the one u are dialing 94407989327***?if it is, you must omit 0

let me know +_+

(Taken from above help)

exten => _944X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944X.,3,Hangup

in the above dialplan the X says any digit from 0 to 9
and after X you can see a DOT (.) this is any length after 944X

The number I'm dialling is my mobile number. It's all in UK format. The full number from the UK to the UK is 07989327***

In the campaign I've told it not to ignore the country code, the country code is imported into the list as 44. The numbers are imported into the list in standard UK format, ie 07989327***

exten => _944XXXXXXXXXX,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:1}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944XXXXXXXXXX,3,Hangup

Bazinga!

It now works!!

Here is my dial plan that works:

exten => _944X.,1,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:4577/call_log)
exten => _944X.,2,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:3}@Node4,,tToR)
exten => _944X.,3,Hangup

I don't have the ability for international dialling with my SIP accout, therefore have to dial in the format of 94407989327*** with the above dial plan and now all works great!!!

Thanks for everyones help.
