vicidial and vtiger datalink only when needed

Postby gzpxyj » Sun Jan 03, 2010 7:58 am

I have seen some post on vicidial and vtiger integration. It is a completely integration solution. All names on vicidial are exported into the vtiger. But with vicidial, we have so many names to dial and not every names is needed in vtiger and vtiger may not support so many names. So I would think there would be a solution that only the possible sales to be exported to vtiger and with the webform. What I imagine is that when call to the client and shows the interest, a button is pressed and vtiger webform is popped up and the customer's info is exported to vtiger. Is this possible?

VARHttp

Used to populate the vtiger webform?

If VARhttp is defind in campaign, your agent could press webformbutton and it will open a vtiger webform prepopulated with data from vicidial

We typically recommend using the web form set as defined in the VTIGER.txt document (you don't need to use the "VARhttp..."), then the agent can click on the web form button if they get a live person or a qualified lead.

vTiger updated automatically from ViciDial

Postby drosengarden » Fri Mar 09, 2012 12:48 pm

I wanted to resurrect this again if I could.

When logging a disposition in ViciDial - does the software - in ANYWAY - automatically update any of the fields or log/record a calender entry within the linked vTiger record?

It would be nice if ViciDial automatically recorded a CALL event held with a certain subject line and results from the call.

Additionally - it would be nice if ViciDial could be configured to update a field(s) in a vTiger record based on the results of the recorded disposition.

Finally - it would be SUPER nice if ViciDial could auto import/create/update the calling list based on a continuous scan of the vTiger database. And have certain 'programmed rules' (like work flows) that tell ViciDial if 'work flow' rule is true then this call is added to the call list campaign or subsequently removed from the call list campaign.

Does anyone know of ANY of these features being default or standard to ViciDial? And if any of these feature are NOT default - does anyone know of any 'shrink wrapped' modifications or software enhancements that would allow for any or all of such mentioned functionality?

Thanks in advance!

We don't support any further Vtiger integration with Vicidial at this time. All of the companies support this development have stopped using vtiger, and nobody has offered to support further development of the vtiger integration.

So sad - no vTiger

Postby drosengarden » Fri Mar 09, 2012 12:58 pm

Thanks for the quick reply - why the abandonment from vTiger?

And for someone who would still want to stick with a vTiger, ViciDial, Asterisk stack solution - can it still be done and find good people with skills to support it?

Thanks.

Vtiger doesn't scale well, and all of our sponsors for the integration found that out in different ways. At high record counts it becomes incredibly slow even if you throw very high-end database hardware at it. Vtiger's method for managing custom fields is extremely inefficient, and the coding was done by about a dozen different programmers using several different methods to do the same thing, and sometimes within a different framework(PHP, Templating, Javascript, etc...) making the core code very difficult to work with.

In the end, two of the companies moved to Vicidial's custom list fields, and the third company developed their own custom CRM solution that integrates with Vicidial.
