Vicibox 3.1.15 problems

Postby sbenson » Wed Apr 04, 2012 4:15 pm

Hello,
I'm having an issue installing Vicibox 3.1.15. It's throwing up an error saying that it can't find a repo

2012-04-04 20:31:48 <1> vicidial-db1(2869) [YCP] PackageCallbacks.ycp:1960 Downloading http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... repomd.xml to /var/adm/mount/AP_0x00000001/repodata/repomd.xml

I've checked the path and see that it should be server:/php:/extensions, but openSUSE_11.3 doesn't exist. only openSUSE_11.4. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately they have started killing off the repos early. You will have to go into yast, under software ---> repositories, and disable the php:extensions repo. It will then allow you to update.

I am in need of adding an asterisk server to an existing Vicidial solution. Would not being able to carry out the php updates have an adverse effect on an existing installation? Would this server behave differently? If so, how? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

@AlSam

Adding asterisk would help load balance your existing vicidial setup depends how is it setup, maybe single server or separate DB/Web - Asterisk/vici..but the thing is it will give you more room for load capability for your vicidial box.

That is precisely why I am adding the Asterisk server. However, my main concern is the fact that the php:extensions repo will not be updated. Is it a reason for concern? Will it adversely affect my current cluster if I add this Asterisk server (without the updates from the php:extensions repo) to it?

@AlSam

You dont need much PHP with Asterisk BOx if you connect it with load balance vicidial except for few php script web access--like recordings..but it shoudl work even bare asterisk and some dependencies
