Stress testing Vicidial

Postby theprofoundgeek » Wed Mar 21, 2012 1:04 am

Hello,

We have just setup GoAutoDial CE 2.1 with, Vicidial SVN 2.4-309a BUILD: 110430-1642 and Asterisk 1.4.39. Installation was smooth.

We want to stress test our setup to ensure that our hardware is able to keep up with the Vicidial and Asterisk for atleast 70 - 100 agents.

How do me test our setup? My test case includes 70 - 100 agents logging into the server and dialing a number for an outbound campaign. The other end (clients receiving the call and picking up the calls are handled by sip-p) is taken care off. Any idea how to achieve this?

What hardware specs for your system(s)?

What line to agent ratio will you be dialing?

Hey Mat, Sorry for leaving this thread dangling.

We had a SuperMacro server with quad core processor and 8 gigs of memory.

We did the test with two tools

(1) Load Runner : So Generate the Agent Load...

(2) SIPp : To simulate end points. (Replayed RTPs that were captured earlier to simulate actual voice traffic too)

We tested for 100 agents and the dialer passed with flying colors :) System resources consumed were less then 30%.
