Right now I am overflowing calls via Remote Agents but i have to specify line counts as well as create a bunch of agents, which in turn ties up my server resources.
i create the user and remote agent with identical numbers as needed to match up , i then attach the overflow ingroup specified to the RA and the phone number that we are going to send the call to in the "EXTERNAL Extension". I then allocate the amount of lines i believe will be necessary at for a potential spike say (40) and activate the agent. This is done over 20 in-groups and the open lines per in-group vary from 5-60 available line.
IS THERE A WAY TO OVERFLOW UNLIMITED CALLS TO A NUMBER?
IS THERE A WAY TO OVERFLOW WITHOUT USING A REMOTE AGENT?

On the overflow ingroup set the drop seconds to 1, set the drop action to Message, then set the drop extension to the same extension you have in the remote agent. Keep in mind you lose control of the call once you do this so you cannot do things like record it.

I am not sure that helps me. Wouldn't you still be limited to the number of remote agent/ RA lines?

No because the call is not routing to the Remote Agents. It is routing directly to the extension. The Remote Agent is a construct within Vicidial. The extension is just an asterisk extension.
