So setup vtiger today, all seemed to go well, was able to sync the users to the vtiger db.

I have an issue though and not sure how to sovle this, might be permmisions on files or something related to using the 64bit version of vicidial (file paths or something).

When i try to do anything in vtiger the server times out with a 500 internal error. This is both through the vtiger direct php or the integrated tab on the agent screen.

Just trying to do small things like setting a "to do" just throws out a 500 error.

Any idea on what might be the cause of this?

Edit: this is a hyperV virtual machine so if it is related to the system being 64bit i can easly just run up a 32bit version of vicidial. This is only a test machine (sig stats are still correct though, that is the right version).

Well installed the 32bit version and it still does the same thing.

Anyone got any idea on what the problem here is?

The only reason i ask in the vicidial forums is this comes packed with the redux iso, otherwise i'd be asking in the vtiger forums.

Ok i've worked out what the problem is, its the php version, the latest release of redux is on 5.3.3 but vtiger 5.1 only supports up to 5.2.x

Anmyone know what version of vicidial is using 5.2.x and has custom fields enabled also?

We stopped supporting Vtiger due to it's horrible security holes, inability to scale and the significant resources it requires to maintain newer versions.

Understand, i run decent firewalls (yes plural), one at the router with white listing of IP's and then again with iptables on the actual server so i'm not too worried about security holes it opens.

With what i've just said above what are my options here?

I was thinking maybe i could run vtiger on a standalone server, Vtiger 5.2 or something, would that work, as in would the sync work and would vtiger show up in the agent tab?
