meetme requires a timing device either ztdummy or x100p

app_conference doesnt need any.

you have to choose between those 2.

Based on my experience I use meetme with x100p.

app_conference is still in development stage i think.

i read AsteriskTFOT note and try to compile the ztdummy but failed...
i read the following note in AsteriskTFOT:

On a 2.6 kernel–based distribution, ztdummy does not require the use of the USB
controller. (As of v2.6.0, the kernel now provides 1-kHz timing with which the driver
can interface; thus, the USB controller hardware requirement is no longer necessary.)
The default Makefile configuration does not create ztdummy. To compile ztdummy,
you must remove a comment marker from the Makefile. Open it in your favorite text
editor and look for the following line:
MODULES=zaptel tor2 torisa wcusb wcfxo wctdm \
ztdynamic ztd-eth wct1xxp wct4xxp wcte11xp # ztdummy
Remove the hash* (#) symbol from in front of “ztdummy,” save the file, and compile
Zaptel as usual.

For the Linux 2.6 kernel timing, you should really use a kernel that is 2.6.13 or greater, there can be problems with older kernels.

yes.. you can use ztdummy.. but i suggest you buy any cheap X100P.. this is much more reliable than ztdummy on my experience..

I agree, especially if this will be predictive dialing. Systems using an X100P will perform much better than a system using ztdummy when the processor load goes up.
