Can Vicidial run on lighttpd

Postby chakaza » Fri Feb 16, 2007 2:15 am

Great software you have there.

I have an already existing setup of asterisk on FC4 and lighttpd as the webserver. The reason we chose lighttpd is coz of its light and fast abilities. We have a locally developed basic call centre solution that's running on this and i would hate to reconfigure the whole setup on apache to run Vicidial. I was wondering if it is possible to run Vicidial on this lighttpd.

Am asking coz i have already installed vicidial and followed every step in the instructions and am able to get to the gui of the admin section and also for the client. Am also able to read data already installed on database. However when i try to add or even modify the existing records, i can't. When i click submit, i just get a blank page.

Any assistance will be highly apppreciated.

It should work since lighttp is supposed to support PHP.

Didn't work. Had to install apache.

There must be something wrong with astguiclient running on lighttpd. The basic call centre solution we are currently using is scripted on php and mysql and i do not see any config errors on them. Only that when i run Vicidial, it seems as if the php is not being parsed or something.

Well, this can be something to look at since lighttpd can really compliment vicidial where there is a large pool of agents.

What exactly is being displayed?

What is your php.ini memory limit set to?

I have not tested on lighttpd so I cannot guarantee that it will work.

Is there a configurable memory limit in this app?
