Ok so this is my second install of installing GoAutoDial CE 2.1. The first time I ended up some how running into a time synchronization error that I could not find my way out of. So I communicate with my boss and he refers met o this article that says to run these commands.

rm /etc/localtime
ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Arizona /etc/localtime
rdate -s nist1-ny.ustiming.or gah

and then

service ntpd stop
chkconfig ntpd off

Other than to update the ip after he changed it, I ran the above commands now when I log in with Agent001 I get that. Here is the kicker though. I can also no longer modify *ANYTHING*. It keeps referring me back saying "NOT MODIFIED - Please go back and look at the data you entered "

By the way, I had a much much more detailed perfectly formatted post, but these forums were claiming that it was to spammy for a new user.

It sounds like you have a database access problem. Check the MySQL instance is accessible and check for errors in the mysqld log.

What article told you to "chkconfig ntpd off"?

and if the ip is changed then you need to run this script: ADMIN_update_server_ip.pl

and where can you "no longer modify *ANYTHING* "?

Look I am trying to be as detailed as I possible can, and this forum is stopping me from posting. This is what it is telling me which is quite annoying when trying to include all the resources I used.

Issues now are, I can't save anything, to finish setting my time correctly say -8 instead of -5, it gives me this error.

Yeah I can understand that that guide broke everything, thats because its a a scratch install.
and following a scratch install on a goautodial install is not that good.

Well to get that error message you need to fulfill these statements:
(strlen($extension) < 1) or (strlen($server_ip) < 7) or (strlen($dialplan_number) < 1) or (strlen($voicemail_id) < 1) or (strlen($login) < 1) or (strlen($pass) < 1)
and those are only user inputs.

but you might have some database permission problems if you followed the scratch install to far.
did you get to this part "Create the database and import the sample data" ?

and btw, I think you need to be registered member a few days before you can post links and stuff

I only did the time zone changes on that document. Just those three commands after the initial go autodial install.

chkconfig ntpd on

maybe a reboot and check all your screens, logs, mail for errors
