was the timer installed before Vicibox? Did you say yes to the timer being present during installation?

Of course

On VICIBOX 4.0.1 there isn't such question as it used to be on 3.1.15 or below

Oops. I'm old and out of date. Have not personally performed a 4.0.X Vicibox install and I'm the only one left in the office.

If you're impatient (I know I always am) I would check with Sangoma (they are usually pretty peppy about simple support that keeps their products moving).

Contact Sangoma. Ask them when they will be supporting DAHDI v.2.6. Once they release an updated driver, I can update the driver for ViciBox and it will start working again.

Ok, I am working on it. But in the mean time, what can i do to use immediately vicibox 4.0.1 with sangoma usb timers?

You can use the dahdi_dummy module instead. You would need to break ViciBox and compile DAHDI v.2.5 from source and everything that links into it to get support for it. Sangoma just needs to here from everyone asking for DAHDI v.2.6 support.

I am in production environment, so it is not possible in any way to use dahdi_dummy
It seems complicated to break ViciBox and compile dahdi v.2.5
I am in contact with sangoma for dahdi v2.6 support.

So, in the mean time I am going to install and old vicibox redux version with dahdi v.2.5 o below and the last vicidial version

Thanks

which is why it is very handy to have the older .iso's available in the download area. :)

I've had a request in with Sangoma to update the VoiceTime driver for DAHDI v.2.6 for a while. The issue with the timer just randomly disappearing after so many power-on hours (regardless of reboot which doesn't do a power-cycle) may still be there.

There is the Amfeltec VoiceSync timer support in ViciBox v.4.0. It uses a PCI-Express slot however. The good news is that it NEVER disappears like the Sangoma USB timer tends to do after a few months. Price is about the same as the Sangoma one so it's a valid option for those who are new and looking to purchase one. We haven't tested it, since we don't have much use for PCI, but there is also a PCI version of the timer. Here's what they are: http://www.amfeltec.com/products/x1pcie ... -timer.php
