Balance dialing enabled, but no calls being dialed

Hello all,

I would like to understand how exactly does balance dialing work. I have a multi-server setup as follows
1. Master server with asterisk+mysql+http
2. Slave server with only astersik
3. All agents are logged-in into the master server, there are no agents on slave server.
4. Balance dialing enabled on both servers
5. Campaign is set to predictive dialing

Will the slave server do the dialing even if no agents are logged on to it?

I want most of the dialing to be done by the slave server only, and the master will be used for agents to login. The values of max vicidial trunks and max calls per second is set to a low value on the master and it is higher on the slave. But there is no dialing happening on the slave server. How can I get the slave server to start dialing?

what scripts do you have set to keepalive and are they all running?

why not use vicibox 4.0 to install instead of scratch? (makes issues like this much simpler ... Kumba has built Vicibox to handle all this for you!).

Also: Please try to post a link to your scratch install instructions (including cluster instructions used ...) in case there is a flaw (so this may lead the next user to the same flaw ... right?)

I got this working. It was a mistake in the installation. The AST_VDauto_dial_FILL script was not set in keepalive.
