VoIP calls thru NATed IP

I am facing problems when installing asterisk on a NATted ip through remote login. I am not able to fetch data from ftp sites through NAT. My service provider says that it is not possible for me to fetch ftp sites through NAT.
One more doubt. I have to know how to make VoIP calls through NAT.
Please tell me how to resolve this issue.

Hi

NAT Issue related to how you do the Nating
and how many times you are doing NAT or MASQ.

check in SIP.conf for the NATed clients

You can always try IAX, it is much easier to pass it through a NAT than SIP.

iax works great in NAT . for anything else there's ssh tunneling .
