We have clients that use built-in AMD pretty heavily(although I'm not sure why because of how bad it is) and we haven't seen these problems unless the system is running at very high load.

Asterisk version? admin.php version and build?

Yes, the Asterisk-included AMD app is horrible. It's slow and only 70% accurate, as well as up to 30% false positives. We don't recommend that anybody use it because it is so bad. It is better to use nothing. There are commercial options. Currently only Sangoma CPD, which is rather expensive. But Lumenvox is working on their own version which right now has limited Asterisk compatibility, but hopefully it will be available for us to try on Vicidial soon. it is cheaper and reportedly just as accurate as Sangoma's solution.

Hello,

looks to me that Lumenvox has finished Asterisk compatibility:

Correct, Lumenvox has worked with Asterisk for years, but Lumenvox CPD(a new product) has never been tested with Asterisk because it has to have access to pre-Answer audio, which the Asterisk Dial() command doesn't allow. That's what they are working on.

Are you using Vicidial? And to what patch do you refer, as this is a long conversation (and a very old one at that ...).
