Quick Transfer based on agent for Answering machine Message

Goautodial CE 2.0
ISO install
intel Xeon E5-2430 0 2.2 ghz
8 gig ram
1 tb HD 7200 I know too slow it's getting changed
Not in a Cloud

My Question is can i have agents record custom answering machine messages and send them with the quick transfer say for example

lets say the User/Agent is 169 they get an answering machine in the dialer

they click the quick transfer button which is set to dial ext 444

exten => _444,1,Answer
exten => _444,n,Dial(local/444${callerid})
exten => _444,n,Hangup

exten => _444169,1,Answer
exten => _444169,n,WaitForSilence(1000)
exten => _444169,n,Playback(169custom_vm)
exten => _444169,n,Hangup

It looks like it would work does anyone know if it would???

1) Welcome to the Party, Steve! 8-)

2) when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

3) Probably simpler to use the built-in VM button in Transfer-Conf popup designed to be configured to leave a VM message per campaign. This, combined with the settings that control it in the Campaign, will allow a user to push transfer-conf -> VM and then the system will leave the Message (after waiting for silence if configured) while the agent is immediately freed to take the next call.

Yea thats what I have always done in the past but that is just for a general Message to be left. Same Recording. I was trying to thing of a creative way to leave a message on a per agent basis.

In that case, you are on the right track. You could also modify the agi script or extension (i'm not sure which it is) that is presently being invoked to leave the VM message and see if you can cause it to take into account the user who sent the call. Perhaps a table holding the list of agents who have created a message today (and still send to the "general one" for anyone who did not create a "today" message).
