We have not put it in production, but we have done a lot of testing with that version. That is the version that we developed our Asterisk 1.8 support with. We just integrated 1.8 support one week ago today.

Asterisk 1.8 will still be supported for the next 3 years, Asterisk 1.4 support stopped last year.
Also, standard SIP support is better in Asterisk 1.8.

And the lastest version of Cepstral can run natively (it's not compatible with 1.4 any more).
