Nope. To date I've not seen nvfaxdetect here at all, except one or two guys like you asking this question. In fact, as far as I know nvfaxdetect is a dead project awaiting someone with $$ to resurrect it.

I run my inbound lines through FreePBX before they hit my VICIDial server. The fax detection on FreePBX is pretty decent. As for outbound, I find not ringing a fax machine in the first place works quite well.

Inbound fax detection is not particularly difficult (and does not require a tutorial as the FreePBX distros have documentation for setup). And honestly, who has a "problem" with fax machines calling them? LOL

You have an unlimited amount of time to determine the identity of someone who calls you (no rules), but for outbound calling, any significant delay from any form of detection can cause an immediate violation of FCC rules for how long you have to get a live agent on the phone. There are no rules for how long you can take to get a live agent on the phone for an inbound call.

as far as I know, NVFaxDetect is a dead project. unless you want to pick it up and run with it or pay someone else to do so ... it's not being maintained or updated.
