audio chooser white

Hey Guys!

When i click on the audio chooser (for setting up a servey) it is white - can't see any files.

To try to fix it I ran this script in the CLI: /usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_audio_store_sync.pl --upload with no luck.

Also I verified that the sounds web server is set to the correct IP.

any ideas???

just tried to change permissions to to a file (based on williams recomendation in another post) and got this result:

I am a linux newbie.. what am I doing wrong here??

That looks weird, do a
ls -l
to make sure its not a link to some other directory that does not exist

too bad you "responded" to your original post. when that happens it drops off my radar.

as far as phpBB is concerned, the post was "responded to", which means it is no longer an "unanswered post". I pay most attention to those with no responses to be sure someone helps at least a little before moving on to the "conversations" between others.

now for the topic at hand:
You first showed the files/folders in the directory and it was there, but when you attempted a chmod it claimed it was not there

domedan's first reflex matches mine: try ls -l (long list) which may show if it is a link to another folder (which it should not be) which is missing (ie: broken link)

who are you "logged in as"? root?

Also: when typing "chmod 777 2tmm ..." stop typing after the "2t" and hit "tab". It will finish the rest for you if the folder is present (and remove the possibility/likelihood that you simply typed one character wrong ...!)

also consider looking at your apache logs and see if you can find what is being requested. especially if you compare to a working machine.

most logs are in ... /var/log

apache logs are in ... /var/log/apache2 (usually)

looks like your web folder isn't writable by group.
