Call hangup problem with on-hook-agent

Postby rsaaris » Fri Jan 25, 2013 9:55 am

I am having problems hangin up a call when using a on-hook-agent-feature. When a call comes in through server1 and the agent is logged in in the same server I must press hangup from the phone and from the agent screen "Hangup Customer". But when an agent is logged to a server2 and the call comes in from server1 the agent srceen "Hangup Customer" button hangs up the call from the phone also.

In the phones display it says "RINGAGENT000000" and in confecence call channel information it shows:
1 SIP/3009-00001334 HANGUP
2 Local/58600051@default-b35f,2 recording
3 SIP/TPO_SIP-00001333

Hangup customer closes the carrier sip-call (TPO_SIP) and the Local call. SIP/3009 to the agent phone won't hangup.

But when the call goes from server1 to server2 through iax2 -trunk, the call hangs up nicely. This is what agent sees in conference channel
1 Local/58600051@default-d353,2 recording
2 IAX2/vicidial2-4022 HANGUP
3 IAX2/vicidial2-4504

And in this case the call hangs up like it should all the channels. Or is this how it is ment to be? It just would make more sense that agent wouldn't need to hangup a call from two different places. :)

show the cli output from a single occurrence success and fail. not 3000 lines of unrelated code, just from a test scenario with no other traffic.

on the two server version, you'll need to show output from both servers.

is the agent phone sip or iax?

Hope there is not too much information... :) These are just two phone calls without any other calls going on at the same time. I am using SIP-phones and this symptom is tested with different SIP-hardphones and with Zoiper classic.

Re: Call hangup problem with on-hook-agent

No time to read ... the concept is: When you compare the two server's output, is there a difference?

I mean ... one server fails and the other does not ... there should be a difference ...

Also consider (just to be funny) using IAX on the single server version for the agent phone instead of sip and see if that makes a difference (zoiper speaks both languages ...).

The difference is that with cross-server call the IAX2-trunk between the server somehow manages to cancel the call. I don't have that deep knowledge about how the call cancellation should work or what should happen when the call hangup -buttin is pressed.

I tried this also with iax softphone (zoiper) and the same thing happens.

i was asking for a difference in the debug output above. you already mentioned the symptom, we're searching for cause or link to cause ...
