Auto-congesting = your server is no longer capable of reaching the remote server (usually your SIP Provider) and that sip channel is now "disqualified". You can set "qualify=no" for the carrier, which will kill the auto-congestion. However, the deeper problem is that the server has lost contact. Either your provider has shut you off (refuses to respond) or your internet connection to the provider is no longer valid.

Unless you are using MGCP channels the reload of MGCP is not a concern, however if the system is no longer able to get your IP address, it may indicate that your local net is down, which could be a bad switch, router, or even a bad network card in the server.

What would be the best probable solution to this sir? Honestly I only get some points of what you have said because I just started learning vicidial recently.
Anyway thank you for the response sir.

Sorry, the translation is: You likely have a networking problem. Your server is losing contact with your VOIP provider. That generally cannot be fixed in Vicidial or on the Vicidial server. It's a networking issue.

You can try to ping the provider during a trouble time, you can also try pinging some other "known good" sites (http://www.irs.gov? http://www.google.com?) NOW, and again when there is a problem. If you maintain ping ability with "other sites" but not your provider, they are cutting you off.

Code: Select all
ping http://www.irs.gov -c 2

The "-c 2" limits to two pings. Otherwise the server will ping forever (which is frowned upon ... greatly).

Cool. Networking problem resolved, now they are merely rejecting your call. LOL

Try sip debug and you may get a more detailed description, but basically they refused to complete the call. It may be because the number is not valid/disconnected or because you have no money on the account or even because they will not allow you to use dial code 1 in front of the number. There is no "standard" for SIP Providers, so you cannot tll from this side unless they are more specific in the SIP handshake. Otherwise, you'll have to get together with the provider. You could also show us what they suggest you use for your sip.conf and extensions.conf entries (often there is a hint in their specs as to the proper format and schema).
