How Do I Activate HotKeys?

My IT guy has pulled an Amelia Earhart and I'm trying to learn how to activate my HotKeys. I have designated nine HotKeys and they show on the screen (I have a screen shot available) that says "CUSTOM HOT KEYS WITHIN THIS CAMPAIGN:"; however, I can't find anything in the manual or Help search that tells me how to ACTIVATE them other than this:

HotKeys Active - This agent interface option, if set to 1, allows the user to use the HotKeys quickdispositioning
function in VICIdial.php. Default is 0-not active.

WHERE do I find the "agent interface option"?

Hot keys are only active when the agent's mouse is over the hot keys area.

Wouldn't I have to activate them first to make them available to the users? HOW do I activate them so the users can do what you have instructed?

In each of these cases, the "->" entry was being used to indicate "Main menu item -> Submenu item".

The disconnect was that, apparently, everyone ASSUMED I knew that I knew I had to go to USERS > SHOW USERS > and them activate the HotKeys for each user. I only discovered this option by literally using every button on the screen.

Just a friendly reminder that many of us need to start from "this is a football".

FYI - this was my reference.

Back in the days Vince Lombardi, the Green Bay Packers had a most interesting beginning to pre-season training. All the players knew that at the first team meeting, the legendary coach would waste no time getting straight to the point.
