transfer conference

Postby rudra_ach » Mon Mar 12, 2007 4:13 am

Hi ,

we want to do a transfer conference in vicidial.

Party A-- Agent
Party B -- Cutomer
part C -- IVR in remote bank

1. Party A calls Party B
2. Party A conferences (3-way calls) party C
(Party C is a Credit card verification IVR- non-asterisk)
3. Party C plays IVR "enter credit card number"

We have tried to do the same with transfer conference feature of vicidial.when we dialed the party c from a soft phone it playes the IVR but when we transfer it through dialer it says invalid number.As the call is reaching to party c but probaly dialer sends some extra digits along with the number.

please help

Dear sir,

we are adding a prifix of 001 while dialing like this
exten => _903.,2,Dial(SIP/90817/001${EXTEN:3},55,tTo)

when trying to transfer to customer through transfer conference is says

7001 is not a valid number

any idea why it is happening like that

I tried with a plain trunk bettewn two asterisk server without any prefix as set above, the conference worked fine.

Hmm that would be the right way to do it wonder if thats a bug. Could you try changing the SIP entry for 90817 to a name such as [provider] in sip.conf

and then try to dial it like

exten => _903.,2,Dial(SIP/provider/001${EXTEN:3},55,tTo)

is step one your call_log?
