Is it possible to record phone calls

Hello everybody
I have a general question. Is it possible to record calls made directly using a softphone connected to Vicidial server as a phone?
I am already using recordings to record calls made by Vicidial system, what i am asking about is to record calls made by agents directly from the softphone (XLITE).
If yes, please explian how?

Yes, you can do it if you alter the asterisk conf files and activate the recording for this extension.

there is a method to record calls made by phones by altering the context that they dial through. i believe it is defaultlog instead of default. this adds a record line. i think it's covered in the manual, but it was also posted on the forum not that long ago.
