Large <=> single database
Redundant. vicidial is always a single database deployment. LOL
Install Vicibox 4.0.X on a virtual machine and tell it that it is ONLY the DB and you should get a "db only" configuration set. Let Kumba do the work for you. If you want the settings for the other servers, continue with a full cluster install in virtual machines (just remember that the entire cluster will handle ONE call reliably, beyond that it can become unstable, but works great for testing and a single call).
And listen to Acidshock: Your DB HD is insufficient. For starters, your DB will likely never be more than a few GB. Even if you have lots of leads. But your 1TB HD likely has a slow spin (7200rpm?). This is not good. You want 15k SAS drives or SSD drives. Speed! i/o throughput!
This is one of the requirements for a serious DB server for Vicidial. For buttkicking, try a RAID10 six drive system with SSD. But if you don't want to go nuts, starting with the fastest drive you can get your hands on is good.
