MySQL connect ERROR: Connection timed out

Dear team

I can't access my server due to MySQL connect ERROR: Connection timed out . Its happen more and more .Please advise .
My Asterisks server :ex:192.168.1.2
and DB server : 192.168.1.3
Problem is probably DB server , I can easily access Asterisks server .

I had below config in both server :
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 5038 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT
rcSuSEfirewall2 stop
/sbin/SuSEfirewall2 off

But Problem still same .

* Can you ping the database from the asterisk server?
* when does it happen? any special time or random? or in connection with some job being done?
* what is the load of the database server when this happen?
* /usr/share/mysql/english/errmsg.sys is not a logfile, the logfiles you should post is at /var/log/mysql/ look at /var/log/messages and other logs too.

you seam to have a strange network setup, explain what 192.168.1.1 and 172.16.0.1 is.
and isnt the database on the same 192.168.1-network?

also, what do you know about 172.30.1.65.

also post the output from the command route on both the asterisk and database server

Thank for your advise , I want to change database server IP ,My astericks server IP Ex:203.144.166.21 and DB server IP :203.144.165.85 :; Probably problem is DB server IP ; So that If i change DB server as a same of Asterisk server series IP ; is that any hamper will be vicidial? if change ETh0 ip then will be trouble to connect aster to DB server ? Please advise

If you do it right you will be able to connect, use yast to change the ip-address
and run the script ADMIN_update_server_ip.pl

oh yeah, you of-course need to edit /etc/astguiclient.conf in the asterisk server to point at the database:
VARDB_server => 12.12.12.12

Sorry !! I had change IP but its work nice for 1 hour and then its problem occurred as like as previous . sometimes work nicely with good pinging stat and then its start Pckt lose . IP and route is so good. Please advise .

you should post the asterisk cli when a call is placed,
and I need more info because package loss can be caused by many reasons.

do you use static or dynamic ip?
if dynamic, then what kind of dhcp-server do you got?
any router in place? then what kind of router?
what kind of network is above yours? or is it straight to the internet?
does anything change when you experience package loss? is the route still the same?
is there anything you know of that might be running when you start getting package loss?

just explain your whole network setup

I am using Static IP .
Cisco Router with BGP routing .
VLAN Network ,
I dont change anything , sometime its work fine and then packt lose start (checkin form outside network), If i do ping yahoo/gmail from server then easily get access from outside .I mean no lose .
Anyway Probably Its VLAN /routing problem . Network admin look care of it .
